This is Midnight is a complete collection of Bernard Taylor’s short horror fiction to date. Starting with the short-story version of The Godsend in 1973, Taylor’s stories have appeared in anthologies edited by Mary Danby, Peter Haining, Charles L. Grant, and Johnny Mains, with his most recent tale appearing in the 2012 anthology The Screaming Book of Horror.

Taylor is a master of showing rather than telling, breathing life into his characters in just a few pages. He demonstrates that the economy of the short form presents no obstacle for him, proving repeatedly that he is just as comfortable with the short form as he is with the novel.
