What is a limited edition?
A limited edition is printed in a fixed, declared run — 250, 500, 1,000 copies — and not reprinted in that form. The run size is the point: once it sells out, the only route to a copy is another collector.
Buying a limited edition
Look for the stated run size and whether copies are numbered. A limited edition with no number and no stated run is a marketing phrase, not a limitation.
