Inspired by the legend of Mulan, the story follows Meilin, a young woman who disguises herself as a boy to enlist in the imperial army in her father's place. As she navigates a brutal war between kingdoms, she discovers she can commune with an ancient dragon spirit that offers her immense power. Meilin must decide whether to use this magic to save her empire or to forge her own path toward freedom.
