Set on the island of Charmant during a magical version of the Roaring Twenties, the story follows Luxe Revelle, a member of a family that uses forbidden time-manipulating magic to enhance their circus performances. To save her family from financial ruin, Luxe enters a dangerous arrangement with a wealthy politician’s son, pretending to be his girlfriend to bolster his public image. Along the way, she crosses paths with Jamison Dewey, a young man with his own magical secrets who is searching for the truth about his lineage.
