A Touch of the Creature is the first new Charles Beaumont book since 1968. Charles Beaumont wrote nearly two dozen Twilight Zone episodes, including "The Howling Man" and "Perchance to Dream." He co-scripted horror films such as The Premature Burial, Masque of the Red Death, and The Haunted Palace, and wrote the adaptation of his novel, The Intruder. He also co-wrote the screenplay for Burn, Witch, Burn with Richard Matheson.
