Fire Falling

She’s supposed to be the perfect weapon. But weapons aren’t supposed to love… or break.

Vhalla Yarl has been conscripted into the Empire’s military. She marches toward the warfront not just as a common soldier, but as the Emperor’s secret weapon. Victory hinges on her mastering a rare elemental magic she barely understands.

Haunted by what she’s done and what she may become, Vhalla struggles to harden her heart to survive what awaits her. But that’s impossible as she trains alongside the Crown Prince, Aldrik. Every stolen moment, every longing look, deepens the bond between them—both magical and the forbidden feelings neither dares name.

Just as Vhalla begins to find her place in this new world of magic, combat, and royalty, a violent attack shatters everything.

Driven into hiding and reeling from a devastating loss, Vhalla must decide what kind of sorcerer, and what kind of person, she’s willing to become. Because to protect those she loves, she may have to become the monster the Empire wants.

Perfect for fans of Throne of Glass, Graceling, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, Fire Falling is the gripping second installment in the internationally bestselling Air Awakens series—filled with elemental magic, aching slow-burn romance, and a heroine finding her power.
