Promise Me Sunshine

Lenny is falling apart after the death of her best friend Lou. She's avoiding her parents, the apartment she and Lou shared, and the list Lou left behind, meant to help her live again. When she takes a babysitting job for a single mother named Reese, she meets Ainsley's uncle Miles, who seems like kind of a huge jerk. But Miles understands grief. He offers her a deal: he'll help Lenny complete her "live again" list if she helps him bond with his niece and repair his strained relationship with Reese. As the two grow closer, Lenny learns that losing everything is only the first step to finding yourself, and love, again. A heartwarming, slow-burn romance by the author of Ready or Not.
