The Wisdom of Crowds

The world of the First Law is dragged into a perilous age. An age of great winners and huge losers, an age of fury, vengeance and revolution, an age in which history will repeat, while nothing will be the same again. An age of madness.

The Wisdom of Crowds sees antiheroes clawing for survival as Civil War convulses the North and the Great Change finally grips the Union. Friends turn on one another and enemies are forced into unlikely alliances, the prisons are opened and the palaces burned, and no one can tell who will emerge on top as the world is turned upside down.

Savine dan Glokta—once the admired face of a new era of progress and profit—will need every grain of courage and cunning if she’s to come alive through the terror that grips the city of Adua. Leo dan Brock lost everything in one bold gamble, now he must make himself into a colder, harder, more ruthless hero for a colder, harder, more ruthless age if he is once again to save the Union from itself. Orso discovers that in a revolution, there is no one lower than a king, while Rikke seizes destiny by the scruff of the neck as she dares to rip control of the North from the descendants of Bethod, a fight in which only the most merciless can prevail.

The fates of all four will be decided against the backdrop of a world in flames, as the beast of revolution finally breaks its chains.
