About this edition
Subterranean Press's signed third printing of Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erikson is author signed, foil boards, illustrated endpapers, foil cover and art section. Hardcover format, listed at $225.00 by Subterranean Press and in stock now.
In the vast dominion of the Seven Cities, the Whirlwind has begun. A massive uprising against the Malazan Empire, led by the prophetess Sha'ik, threatens to consume the continent. At the heart of the conflict is the Chain of Dogs—a desperate, grueling march of thousands of refugees led by Fist Coltaine and his 7th Army across a hostile wasteland toward the safety of Aren. Meanwhile, a small group of travelers seeks the legendary Deadhouse Gates, and the assassin Kalam Mekhar embarks on a perilous mission to the heart of the Empire itself.
This third printing features dust jacket and interior illustrations by J.K. and includes all illustrations from the original numbered edition. Due to the length of the volume, the book is printed on 60# Lynx paper. The image on the front boards is stamped in two colors rather than embossed, and the book edges are ungilded. The edition features custom 'Stormont' marbled endpapers by artist Jemma Lewis, a historical pattern originating in France during the early 19th century. The dust jacket art includes a frame due to a production error. This edition is limited to approximately 1,000 hardcover copies signed by the author.
