DC: Superman

Celebrate Superman’s legacy with Folio’s definitive anthology. Featuring 12 iconic stories, a replica of Superman #1 and commentary by Jenette Kahn and Marjorie Liu, it’s the ultimate tribute to the Man of Steel.

The last of his race and of a destroyed planet, Superman is, ironically, one of the most human of all superheroes. An ordinary man, with extraordinary powers.

Tracing the rise of Superman, from his inception in the early 1930s, through first publication and culminating in the epic Peace on Earth, this edition is an unparallelled collection of the Man of Steel’s most important 20th century comics. Featuring breathtaking artwork and moving storylines, Superman, Lois Lane and his great enemies are revealed in original scans taken directly from the DC archive.

From his first leap into comic book history in 1939 to his most defining moments of the 20th century, Superman’s legacy is celebrated in this definitive anthology. Curated and introduced by DC legend Jenette Kahn, with a foreword by Marjorie Liu, this Folio edition showcases 12 iconic stories tracing key milestones in his development, all written before the year 2000. The collection also includes a replica of the rare Superman #1—the world’s most valuable comic.
